Gary's intellectual contributions are underscored by his authorship of four U.S. Patents related to reductive bioremediation and in situ chemical reduction of soil and groundwater. Notably, he is the lead author of US Patent 11,577,231 B2, titled "Enhanced Reduction Bioremediation Method Using In-Situ Alcoholysis." This patent demonstrates his innovative approach, focusing on transesterification of vegetable oils to enhance the formation and distribution of crucial electron donors for anaerobic reductive bioremediation.
