Discover how Tersus Environmental’s patented EDS-Advanced™ technology sets a new benchmark in anaerobic bioremediation. In this article, we explore the scientific innovations and field-proven benefits that make EDS-Advanced™ the smarter, more sustainable alternative to traditional carbohydrate-based soluble and emulsified vegetable oil (EVO) electeon donors.

HOW DO YOU KNOW YOUR IN SITU REMEDIATION IS WORKING?

Wondering if your in situ remediation is truly working? This post explores how Compound-Specific Isotope Analysis (CSIA) goes beyond concentration data to confirm degradation, distinguish between sources, and strengthen site strategies. Learn how Tersus can help you apply this advanced tool for clearer, more confident decisions.

Permanganates for ISCO Remediation

Potassium permanganate (KMnO₄) and sodium permanganate (NaMnO₄) are powerful oxidizing agents used to break down harmful contaminants in water. When dissolved, they produce permanganate ions (MnO₄⁻), which react with pollutants, transforming them into less harmful substances. This chemical process plays a vital role in cleaning and purifying contaminated water sources.

Research Update: February 2024

Ensuring product safety and environmental sustainability is paramount at Tersus. Read on for an update on our latest research efforts regarding our PFAS evaluation program to assess its presence in our TASK™ MicroEVO Self-Emulsifier. We are pleased to announce that no detections (ND) were reported.

When you mix these compounds with water, they create permanganate ions (MnO₄⁻). These ions are the real heroes of the story. They aggressively attack contaminants, breaking them down into less harmful substances. It's like a microscopic battle happening right before your eyes!
